Heidi’s artwork is printed onto fabric and used in the Heidi The Artist’s women’s clothing line. She creates unique quality clothing that is locally made from ethical fabrics. She is always striving to make her line as ‘green’ as possible & a portion of all sales help support local charities.
Heidi was born in Victoria, BC and grew up in Vancouver. She spent lots of time camping, skiing and boating around South West BC as a child and threw herself into art and sport throughout her school years. After travelling she made Whistler her home several times in her twenties and now resides here with her husband and two sons. Heidi received her BFA from the Emily Carr Institute of Art & Design in 2001. Several years later she completed her teaching certificate from SFU and went on the teach high school art. Heidi decided to leave teaching after having her boys so she could stay at home to raise them. During these years she began selling her art online and at markets. She then developed her clothing line which features prints of her work. The HTA clothing line was born and she has never looked back. Heidi sells her art & clothing through her online shop, at markets and at the Audain Art Museum and Maury Young Arts Centre. Heidi loves to ski, run, bike, paddle board, travel and hang out with her friends, husband, kids, dog and two cats. Heidi continues to push herself as a visual artist and designer. She is inspired by Whistler, its breathtaking beauty, sports, and the eclectic people who live here.
