The Opportunity
Step into a leadership role at Tapley’s Neighbourhood Pub—a true Whistler institution known for cold beer, big games, and great company. As General Manager, you’ll be the driving force behind the lively atmosphere that keeps locals coming back and makes visitors feel right at home.
This is more than a management job—it’s your chance to shape one of Whistler’s most iconic pubs while leading a high-energy team, delivering exceptional guest experiences, and keeping operations running smoothly and profitably.

What You Bring to the Table
- Proven hospitality leadership experience (restaurant, bar, pub, or similar)
- Passion for community, guest experience, and team building
- Strong operational and organizational skills (POS, scheduling, Microsoft Office)
- Marketing and promotions knowledge (bonus if you can boost visibility & sales!)
- Calm, confident communicator who thrives under pressure
- Serving It Right certification required (First Aid an asset)
Your Days Will Look Like
- Lead, inspire, and coach your team to deliver unforgettable guest service
- Be hands-on and visible during peak hours, building guest connections
- Manage day-to-day operations, staffing, and team scheduling
- Recruit, train, and develop staff, fostering accountability and growth
- Oversee cost controls, ordering, and inventory management
- Plan and execute events, promotions, and community engagement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with liquor, health & safety, and company policies
- Live and promote the Gibbons Core Values daily
