We're looking for a Shop & Patio Supervisor to join the team at Flute & Fromage.

Job Title: Shop & Patio Supervisor

Reports To: Shop Owner / General Manager

Location: Whistler Village, BC (Flute & Fromage on the Village Stroll)

Hours: Full time 35-40 hours per week

Compensation: $26.00 per hour + tips

The Shop & Patio Supervisor at Flute & Fromage oversees daily boutique retail operations and guest service on our licensed, mountain-view après patio.

This is a supervisory role—reporting directly to the Owner and General Manager—focused heavily on team leadership and premium customer service. While expert product knowledge is a wonderful bonus, a passion for learning on the job is highly valued.

Core Responsibilities
??Team Leadership: Supervise, coach, and support full-time and part-time staff.

??Guest Experience: Provide exceptional service, helping guests select curated cheese boards, small plates, and wine pairings.

??Patio Management: Oversee operations on the licensed, heated outdoor patio to maintain a comfortable, high-end vibe.

??Retail & Rentals: Coordinate in-store sales alongside our specialized raclette and fondue equipment rental kits.

??Catering & Events: Assist with logistics for private, educational, and corporate catering orders.

??Daily Operations: Execute opening/closing duties, manage cash drawers, and ensure flawless shop presentation.

Key Requirements
??Housing Status: Must have independent, secured housing in the Whistler region (staff accommodation is not provided).

??Experience: 1–2 years of supervisory experience in a busy restaurant, retail, or hospitality setting.

??Product Knowledge: Prior knowledge of cheese and wine is not required, but is highly valued. (We will fully train the right leader!).

??Location & Status: Currently based in Whistler with a valid Canadian work permit.

??Certifications: Valid Food Safe Certificate Level 1 and Serving It Right Certificate required prior to starting.

??Flexibility: Ability to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holiday periods, no late nights.
