Maintenance Technician

Now hiring a full time Maintenance Technician for a luxury hotel and spa. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with hands-on maintenance experience who is looking for a full-time, year-round position in a beautiful resort environment.

The ideal candidate is reliable, practical, and comfortable handling a variety of general maintenance and repair tasks, helping to ensure the property is always operating at its best.

Offering a competitive starting wage of $28 per hour with full benefits and great perks.

ABOUT THE ROLE:
> Starting wage from $28 per hour
> Schedule: full time, flexible schedule that includes evenings, weekends, holidays.
> Full-time, year-round employment
> End-of-Season Bonus Program

THE PERFECT CANDIDATE:
> Minimum of 3 years of maintenance experience within a hotel, resort, commercial building, or similar environment preferred.
> Technical training in a trade or related maintenance field is considered an asset.
> Pool Operator Level 1 certification is considered an asset.
> Valid WHMIS certification required.
> Strong working knowledge of general building maintenance systems and operations.
> Experience with boilers, HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, pools, and mechanical equipment is considered an asset.
> Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
> Maintain a professional, safe, and service-oriented approach while carrying out maintenance activities.
> Complete maintenance tasks, work orders, and special projects in a timely and organized manner.
> Conduct regular property walkthroughs, inspections, and preventative maintenance checks while communicating concerns or deficiencies to the Engineering leadership team.
> Support the maintenance and upkeep of staff housing facilities, including troubleshooting and repairs as required.
> Respond promptly and professionally to guest maintenance requests while ensuring exceptional guest service standards are maintained.
> Maintain accurate records related to repairs, maintenance activities, equipment servicing, and preventative maintenance.
> Support the operation, chemical balancing, cleaning, and maintenance of pools and spa equipment while maintaining required records and safety standards.
