Small Engines/Automotive Fleet Technician

Location:Whistler
- $30+ per hour to start based on experience, negotiable for candidates with Automotive or Heavy Duty Experience
- Full time schedule
- 4/10 or 5/8 schedule, flexible days off and start times.
- Extended health and dental benefits available after 3 months.
- Flexible start times on powder days and mental health days
- Use of equipment on days off (Sleds and ATV's)

Job Description: We are currently seeking a skilled Small Engine or Automotive/Heavy Duty Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of Machinery and equipment, including but not limited to ATV, SxS, Snowmobiles, automotive, trailers, and Snowcats. As a Fleet Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for troubleshooting engine issues, performing routine maintenance, and completing repairs efficiently and effectively.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose machine problems and determine the appropriate course of action for repair.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, and service.
- Disassemble machines, inspect parts for wear or damage and repair or replace defective components.
- Use diagnostic equipment and tools to identify electrical and mechanical issues.
- Keep accurate records of repairs, parts used, and labor hours.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in small engine technology.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven Certification and/or experience as a Small Engine, Automotive, or Heavy Equipment Technician.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Knowledge of small engine systems and components.
- Ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Effective communication with company staff. (private shop no customers)
- Willingness to continuously learn and adapt to new technologies
- Valid Class 5 drivers license
