Looking for a social media guru to join the team and support a local arts festival for a 6-week contract with the Whistler Writers Festival. Tap into your creative side and run with managing social media accounts on Facebook and Instagram, based on existing written and visual content. Offering $35 per hour, flexible hours and access to some wonderful events!

ABOUT THE ROLE:
> Part-time, short term contract.
> Roughly 5+ hours per week working from your home.
> Choose your own hours, requires 2 daily posts, or program the posts to fit your schedule.
> $35 per hour.

THE PERFECT CANDIDATE:
> 1 to 2+ years in social media marketing.
> Proactive and takes initiative; motivated and can work independently with limited supervision.
> Personable, enthusiastic, friendly with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
> Organized and able to prioritize tasks effectively in order to meet deadlines.
> Detail oriented, with excellent spelling and proofreading skills.
> Proficient with MS Office Suite, Facebook, Instagram, Canva.
> Experience and enthusiasm for the arts is an asset.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
> Social media marketing leading up to and during the Whistler Writers Festival (Nov5-8, 2026)
> Develop creative social posts on Facebook and Instagram based on existing content.
> Schedule posts 2 per day.
> Report on engagement.
