Emotional Intelligence (EQ) is the ability to recognize and control emotions. The goal is to develop self-awareness, self-discipline, and empathy for more positive outcomes in your relationships with others. EQ can be nurtured and strengthened throughout adulthood with benefits to your health, relationships, and career.
This workshop focuses on EQ as a key driver of successful leadership in a service organization. The workshop will discuss the 15 sub-composites of EQ and how alignment/balance of these factors is critical for leaders. You will also learn how to coach staff in EQ to improve frontline customer service.
Prior to the workshop you will take the EQi-2.0 assessment. It will provide you with personal information on how you function and how to enhance EQ skills for better leadership.
Audience: This workshop is specifically designed for managers and leaders in the service sector.
Key takeaways:
You will walk away understanding EQ and its relevance for people management. Using the EQi-2.0 model, you will
- Learn how an understanding of EQ can help a manager think about emotions, thus enabling them to anticipate, cope with, and effectively manage change.
- Understand why high emotional intelligence is at the heart of effective teams. Group emotional intelligence is about exploring, embracing, and ultimately relying on the emotions that are at the core of teams.
- Be able to identify candidates who score high in key areas of EQ, and to
- Develop culturally attuned and emotionally sensitive managers and leaders.
