About Us

Community Futures Howe Sound is a non-profit offering no-strings-attached business coaching and advice, as well as business loans for those who need a more personal approach to lending than the banks can provide.

We provide free one-on-one business coaching by experienced advisors Cam and Kieran, either in person or via virtual meetings. We offer advice on everything from finance and budgeting to marketing, operational efficiencies, HR, strategy, customer service, and more. If we don’t have the expertise in house, we will happily point you in the right direction to find other great resources and support.

Banks can be a bit black and white about their lending. We see the grey – we look at you, your ideas, your drive, and your ability to see your plans through to reality. If you’ve been declined for a traditional loan due to your age, credit score, recent arrival in the country, gender, ethnicity, or even your business plan, we’ll take a second look. We offer business loans of approximately $10,000 to $150,000, with interest rates on par with banks.
