Senior Audio-Visual Technician
Mountain Sound is currently looking for a Senior Audio-Visual Technician for work within the Sea to Sky Corridor. This position is available immediately, Wages ranges from $30 - $45/hour plus medical benefits, based on experience.
Our primary focus is on design, installation, and maintenance of complex AV solutions for our clients. As a Senior AV Technician with Mountain Sound, you will be working alongside our Project Manager and will be responsible for, understanding, analyzing, and implementing installation plans. You will also be responsible for training and supervising junior Technicians. This position requires the ability and technical knowledge to complete installations, understand the bill of materials, and be capable of adjusting to meet client satisfaction.
Ideal candidates will represent Mountain Sound in a professional, courteous and knowledgeable manner that aligns with our company values. A typical day could see you working on a variety of commercial and residential installations.
Minimum of 1 Year of Skills & Experience in the following areas is required:
- Home automation and control,
- Audio & Visual Distribution,
- Pre-wire and infrastructure
- Start to finish project management
- Being adaptable and quickly adjusting to customer needs
- Strong focus on customer service and exceeding expectations
- Flexibility to work in a variety of environments, from construction sites to finished corporate offices
- Valid BC Driver’s License and clean abstract
- Personal hand tools are required
- Low voltage experience and knowledge of BC Electrical Code is essential
- Ability to lead the installation of AV solutions, that include the following: servicing cabling infrastructure, audio/visual devices including pre-wiring, installation, termination, testing, reporting, and labeling per specifications and drawings
- Ability to lead the installation of audio/visual equipment including audio and video equipment, distributed audio, digital signage, sound reinforcement, control systems
- Lead system programming and commissioning through the use of Control4, Lutron, URC and RTI to establish a connection with devices
- Set up device ID's and IP addresses, maintain and update spreadsheets for programmers when necessary
- Organize and maintain efficiency with onsite activities and goals,
- Mentor, coach, and train other Technicians
- Load program files and update firmware for various devices
- Build racks and implement strong cable management practices
- Read and interpret system diagrams and construction drawings assigned to the project
- Ensure safety and incident reporting procedures are followed
- Administrative duties including project updates to Project Managers, completing and filing all project documentation, including time sheets and work orders
- Relationship building with clients and prospects for future opportunities
