Description
Are you a fempreneur running (or planning to start) your own business? Find out how to tap into the Women's Entrepreneurship Strategy support!
The COVID-19 pandemic has disproportionately affected women entrepreneurs, who typically operate smaller businesses and have less access to capital. Many female business owners also still bear a disproportionate share of domestic work, caregiving and childcare. To address these realities, and in keeping with the commitment to advance the economic empowerment of women, our government is taking action. For our first virtual Women of Whistler event, we will be joined by by Melanie Rupp from the Women's Enterprise Centre and Rachel Bendayan, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Small Business, Export Promotion and International Trade who will discuss the support available to women such as the Women Entrepreneurship Strategy (WES). We will also discuss PPE, specific sectors and why it is important that we focus on women entrepreneurs at this time.
