Panelists
Katie Thompson - Four Seasons
Katie Thompson is the Director of People & Culture at the Four Seasons Resort and Residences Whistler. She’s called Whistler home since 2015 and brings over 15 years of progressive HR experience to the table.
Katie believes leadership starts with how we treat our people. If employees feel seen, supported, and genuinely cared for, they’ll naturally bring that same energy to the guest experience. In hospitality, it’s simple: you can’t expect extraordinary service from a team who doesn’t feel it themselves.
Her work centers on the idea that employee wellbeing isn’t a nice-to-have, it’s the foundation for guest satisfaction and strong business results.

Rosemary Stager - Lil'wat Business Group
Tsekonámus Rosemary Stager is the CEO of the Líl̓wat Business Group (LBG). A lifelong community advocate and experienced Indigenous administrator, she is committed to advancing Líl̓wat-led economic development. Rosemary focuses on creating employment and training opportunities, expanding business ventures, and building strong partnerships that support long-term prosperity for Líl̓wat Nation.
Her leadership is grounded in cultural values and inspired by her late father, Stl’atl’imx Hereditary Chief Allen Stager. Rosemary has contributed to significant political and economic agreements, including the 2017 Whistler Blackcomb Master Development Agreement. She has also served on multiple boards and was recognized with an FNHDA Inspiration Award and a YWCA Women of Distinction nomination. Prior to LBG, she held senior roles in Indigenous health, advancing land-based healing and culturally grounded wellness. Rosemary resides in Líl̓wat Nation with her husband and is a mother, grandmother, and active cultural participant.
