Designed specifically for life and work in Whistler, this online, on-demand program helps participants understand what makes Whistler unique while building the skills needed to deliver memorable experiences for guests, colleagues, and the community.
The course begins with the Whistler Vibe; the pride, energy, and sense of belonging that make this place special. Participants then explore the realities of mountain life and learn practical strategies to support resilience, wellbeing, and balance throughout the busy summer season. From there, the BIG model (Belong, Initiate, Go Beyond) provides a practical framework for delivering service that feels authentic, confident, and memorable.
Through interactive scenarios, local stories, and practical tools like the "Reset Menu," participants learn how to Go BIG at work while protecting their own wellbeing. The program concludes with a personal commitment and celebration, reinforcing that every employee plays a role in shaping the Whistler experience.
Once you've completed this course, you'll understand:
- How to apply the BIG model (Belong, Initiate, Go Beyond) in everyday interactions with guests, colleagues, and the community
- How personal wellbeing, balance, and resilience contribute to strong performance and exceptional guest experiences
