Description
Do you ever wonder why some teams go above and beyond, while others just go through the motions? In 'Motivation: Turn 'Just a Job' into a Team That Cares,' we'll dig into what truly drives people at work, and how you can spark engagement and performance in your organization. This session moves beyond the old myths about motivation, focusing on practical strategies and real-world examples that managers and teams can relate to and use right away.
You'll learn how to recognize the key drivers of motivation, measure engagement in meaningful ways, and apply tools that make a difference, whether you're leading a team or contributing as a member. Through interactive exercises, group discussions, and hands-on practice, you'll discover how to create an environment where people feel valued, challenged, and inspired to do their best work.
In this session, we'll discuss:
- Motivation myths: Why pay alone doesn't keep people motivated, and what does.
- The BAMP Framework: How Belonging, Autonomy, Mastery, and Purpose drive engagement and performance.
- Measuring Motivation: Simple, effective ways to assess motivation in yourself and your team.
- What Makes Praise Effective: How to give praise that actually motivates (and what to avoid).
- Practical Tools: How to use the ARCTIC approach. Goldilocks tasks, and structured praise to boost motivation.
Length: 2 hours
Target Audience: All levels of leadership
