This course will be held over six weeks, with sessions every Thursday from 9:00 am - 12:00 pm. The course will begin on November 2nd and conclude on December 7th, 2023.

Description
Increase employee engagement and optimize productivity by applying Performance and Conflict Management Strategies!
Attracting and retaining talent and reducing flight risk in a competitive marketplace is critical. This in-person course is accredited and delivered over six 3-hour sessions. It will provide participants an understanding of performance management and the role it plays in achieving organizational strategy and optimizing productivity. Coaching will also be explored in this course.
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Develop and apply effective strategies, methods, and processes to motivate employees, optimize productivity and employee development
- Demonstrate how to effectively coach, empower, and motivate employees as well as set goals and give/receive feedback.
- Discover the tools and apply a range of techniques to create the employee experience in your organization.
- Identify the nature and sources of conflict in the workplace with a focus on developing the skills necessary to manage it.
- Identify the different conflict handling styles and the circumstances in which each would be most appropriate, and develop the interpersonal skills that support productively managing conflict.
- Apply conflict intervention strategies; identify the role of third-party intervention, management supervisors, and team leaders in conflict management.
This course has a max capacity of 20 participants. Please note registration will no longer be available after the October 26th registration deadline.
New students to BCIT will need to register for a BCIT A# in order the register (the same link can be used if you have forgotten your A#)
This course has been vetted and approved by the BC Employer Training Grant program. As an employer, you can apply to receive 80% of the cost of training, up to $10k per employee. Documentation will be provided upon request.

Whistler Experience Program Benefits
Upon registering for this event as a Whistler Experience participant, you will have full access to all Whistler Experience program benefits, including the Whistler Blackcomb Spirit Pass. If you then fail to attend the event, your pass will be suspended and access to all benefits will cease. You would then need to register for another in-person Whistler Experience training session or complete an online Whistler Experience course to re-activate your benefits.
Photographs taken at the event may be used in marketing and promotional campaigns and messaging by the Whistler Chamber.
