Join us for this interactive panel discussion where you'll connect with like-minded industry professionals and community partners while building your business support network.

Meet the Panelists:
Sarah Lloyd, CPA & CBV, Business Centre Manager with BDC supporting the North Shore and Sea to Sky.
As both a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) and member of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Business Valuators (CBV), Sarah has extensive experience helping businesses to become bigger, stronger and more profitable through tailored financing and advisory support.
Prior to joining BDC, Sarah was the Director of Operations at First West Capital where she supported companies' growth and key transitions by leveraging a strong network of lenders and business advisers, and as a Manager at PwC where she participated in financial and operational analysis/valuations of businesses and helped distressed companies to manage liquidity issues.
In addition to her CPA and CBV designations, Sarah holds a Bachelor of Arts in Management & Business Administration from the University of Reading in the United Kingdom. A dedicated community volunteer, Sarah currently serves as Treasurer for the North Vancouver Chamber of Commerce and was previously Treasurer with Anxiety BC. When she?s not helping companies to successfully grow, you?ll find Sarah skiing BC?s beautiful mountains with her husband and son.
Lisa Coulter, Director of Social Services with Whistler Community Services Society
Lisa has been working at Whistler Community Services Society since 2018 and is the current Director of Social Services. She is passionate about working alongside folks of all backgrounds and empowering them to see the best in themselves in using trauma-informed and culturally safe practices.
She enjoys working with community partners to advocate for those most underserved as well as collaborating with local businesses in providing education and wellness sessions with the goal of enhancing support services in the community. Along with the WCSS Outreach team, Lisa is responsive to community needs and has recently implemented new programming such as drug checking and an extreme weather shelter. Outside of work, she can be found outside on her bike, skis, paddleboard or in hiking boots.
Katie Thompson, CPHR, Director, People & Culture at the Four Seasons Resort and Residences Whistler.
Katie is a Results driven People & Culture Professional proven to excel managing a full spectrum of programs, services and functions. a Whistler local for nearly a decade, has integrated her dedication to women's leadership seamlessly into her role as People and Culture Director at Four Seasons Resort and Residences Whistler.
With a decade of experience as a Whistler local and as a mother, she understands the challenges women face in balancing career and family. Thompson has spearheaded employee benefit overhauls emphasising holistic wellness, expanded housing options, and robust wellness programs. These initiatives, including weekly Pilates and yoga sessions, a new employee gym, and complimentary ski passes, underscore the commitment to employee well-being. Thompson's leadership emphasises flexibility, open-mindedness, and inclusivity to create a supportive workplace culture where all employees, especially women, can thrive. Her efforts shape the future of Four Seasons Resort and Residences Whistler and set a powerful example for women in leadership.
