The Awards honour excellence in the areas of service\, innovation\, sustainability\, outstanding leadership in the arts\, business and community service. Heather has lived in Whistler for the past 22 years\, intending to stay only for one season\, but falling quickly in love with the snow and eventually with 'THE Guy'. Her day job is in economic development\, but she may be better known as a playwright and actress in Whistler's Short Skirt Theatre Company. Heather's style of production is a loving looking glass into the Whistler community. She has penned and played some memorable moments\, inspired by the village we are lucky enough to call home. A constant advocate for the joyful benefits of volunteerism\, in 2017 Heather was the recipient of Whistler's 'Citizen of the Year'.
