DESCRIPTION:Get food handlers up to speed on hygiene and food safety with this one-day in-person course!\n\n \n\nIf you own a business or work in the food industry\, you'll need food safety training to keep your brand and your customers safe.  Food safety training is essential if you want your food business to succeed\, but it is also a legal requirement for food handlers (cooks\, managers\, servers and dishwashers). \n\n\n\nFoodsafe Level 1 takes complex Food Safety laws and information and breaks it down into simple lessons\, so you and your team get the food safety training you need. This course covers important food safety practices with a focus on:\n\n	Basic microbiology\n	Food contamination\n	Potentially hazardous foods\n	Dish-washing \n	Receiving/storing techniques\n\nExaminations are available in Japanese\, Chinese\, Punjabi\, Vietnamese\, Tagalog\, Spanish and French (please advise on language preference at registration).\n\n\n\nThis course has been vetted and approved by the BC Employer Training Grant program. As an employer you can apply to receive 80% of the cost of training\, up to $10K per employee. Documentation will be provided upon request. Director of F&B at Fairmont Hotels & Resorts\, Bagnall was acclaimed as Leader of the Year\, and was identified by her peers as "an outstanding performer." Bagnall also served as the General Manager overseeing the opening of the Hard Rock Caf  and Boutique in Whistler.\n\n\n\nBagnall has coached\, trained and mentored hundreds of staff during her career as restaurant manager and Food & Beverage director\, and now finds increasing satisfaction in a more formal teaching and consulting role.\n\n \n\nA faculty member of Capilano University\, Bagnall customized and delivered F&B Management courses for the Destination Resort Management Program. Her widely-applauded communication skills\, industry expertise and practical experience are augmented by professional certification in adult and ongoing education and facilitation skills.\n\n\n\nCancellation Policy: Payment is non-refundable for cancellations made within three business days of the event\, or non-attendance on the day.
